In 1986, Jon Hughes wrote a video shop management computer program on his BBC Micro for his computer studies o’level. Since then he’s been looking for an excuse to use it. As a local photographer and graphic designer, the Apollo video shop project provides an excuse to realise his dream.

Hi there
This is such a great idea, I love it! Some friends and I have been running a film club at a local pub and a few weeks ago (for about the 3 time in 5 years) it has closed down. As soon as I heard about your project I contacted the pub landlord to see if he might be interested in talking which he is!!! Now I am in desperate need of information! Have you paid the landlord to use the premises, can you sell food, booze, charge entry???? If there is any background info that would be useful please let me know
Huge thanks - and well done for such an inspiring project
A pal told me that Arts Council funding is available for the use of derelict buildings http://press.artscouncil.org.uk/Content/Detail.asp?ReleaseID=659&NewsAreaID=2 have you used this???
